Train by the science, not the hype

Know exactly what to do, and why.

Precise, personal training grounded in published research — what to lift today, why it’s in your plan, and when to push harder or back off. No guesswork.

Effort · reps in reserve 10-week block

Three things you should never have to guess.

01 · what

Today’s session is already written

Exercises, sets and target reps, chosen for the days you actually train and the muscles you said matter most — and once you’ve lifted something before, the weight to start from is there too. No planning, no spreadsheet, no deciding on the gym floor.

3 × 8–12 · 72.5 kg
02 · why

Every line can explain itself

Tap any exercise and Movi — your AI coach — tells you why it’s there today, what it’s meant to move, and what changed since last week. Ask why the science says something and you get the studies with it — real ones, never invented. Ask about your own plan and the answer comes from your numbers, which is a better source than a paper.

03 · when

Push harder, or back off

You’re told the difference between a hard set and a wasted one — and when the honest answer this week is to do less than you could.

RIR 2 → RIR 1

The plan moves when you do.

You never have to work out how hard to push, how much work to do, or when to ease off. Log the session you actually did, and the next one already accounts for it.

  • Your targets move with you

Finish your reps with something left over and next time asks for more. Grind through them and it asks for less.

  • The right amount of work, not the most

The aim is enough work to keep progress coming — not the most you can survive. When hard weeks stack up you get a lighter one before you need it.

deload week · half the sets
  • A rough stretch changes the week

Rate soreness, sleep and energy after a session. When a few in a row come back rough, Motric offers you an early easy week rather than pushing on. It suggests; you decide.

  • Movi has the context

Your AI coach knows today’s session, your targets, and the research behind all of it — and it remembers what matters from your conversations, which you can read back and delete any time. Ask why today looks like this, what a cue actually means, or what to eat — and you get a straight answer in plain words, not a pep talk.

Nothing in your plan is there because it sounded good.

The rules behind your training start from published research on how people actually get stronger: that training close to failure is what counts, and that more weekly sets build more muscle — up to a point.

Where the research runs out, we say so. The exact set counts, and when a lighter week lands, are calls we make — built on that evidence, ours to defend, and never dressed up as a study.

Train with a coach. Or be one.

For lifters

Bring in a human coach

Invite a coach and, once they accept, they see everything in your account — every session, every weight, your diet, every week you felt flat. Nothing moves until the invite is accepted, and you can end it whenever you want. They change what needs changing; you get on with training.

Prefer to go it alone? Nothing about it is coach-shaped. It works on its own.

For coaches

Coach your own clients

Your whole roster in one place — their setup, how the block is going, their check-ins and their trends. Change what their plan is built from and it rebuilds, put an exercise in their collection to use, message them — your judgement stays in charge.

You spend your time on the clients who need you this week, not on rewriting spreadsheets for the ones who don’t.

Honestly

What we won’t do.

01

Give medical advice

Motric is a training tool, not a clinician. If something hurts, or you’re pregnant, injured or managing a health condition, talk to a professional — and bring them in on your plan.

02

Push a number you shouldn’t hit

Calories, macros and a food log are here if you want them. What isn’t: a target under the floor we set, a faster cut than is sensible, or numbers at all for someone the screen says shouldn’t be cutting. Ask for those and Motric says no, and says why.

03

Pretend progress is a straight line

Some weeks you won’t add weight, and that’s a normal part of getting stronger. You’ll be told that plainly rather than handed an invented win.

Open it and see today’s session.
